Tiers reflect consistent utility, not meme potential. A C-tier soap can win Create Mode joke maps; it still loses efficiency on the Carnival Party map rotation when you need reliable deposits.

S Tier — meta definers

Effect family deep dive

Blast soaps

Blast effects scale with carry size — more banked soap equals larger knockback. S-tier blasts combine radius and windup safety. Use them to interrupt enemy deposits and to finish leaders after Shell Guard expires. Pair with teammates on mismatch colors to repel victims into blast zones.

Swap soaps

Swap wins Soap Battle when enemies stack on your deposit zone. Mirror Swap S-tier because it is deterministic. Practice aiming through friendly bodies — bad swaps throw leaders off-stage.

Steal soaps

Steal requires color match before absorption. Magnet and Snatch reduce execution difficulty. In tier list terms, steal soaps rise when enemies hoard soap for cannon pushes; they fall when everyone plays light and banks constantly.

Defensive soaps

Defensive picks protect the 30 HP leader and secure health soap consumption windows. Shell Guard S-tier for invuln frames; Gel Shield A-tier for sustained brawls. Without defensive soaps, 500-point races collapse after one focus-fire chain.

+1 tier in Soap Battle: Shell Guard, Gel Shield, Mirror Swap, Magnet Steal
